My name is Stephanie Parker, and I am excited to be a part of the Benson Sports Therapy and Wellness family! I am from Greensboro, NC. As a Tar Heel born and bred, I attended UNC Chapel Hill where I pursued a degree in Exercise and Sports Science-Athletic Training and graduated in 2019. While at UNC, I had the opportunity to work with a variety of Division I collegiate athletes and spent a semester each with UNC baseball, women's soccer, football, and swim and dive teams. Between undergrad and PT school, I worked with a research team
investigating concussion awareness amongst coaches, parents, and athletes in middle school sports.
I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Campbell University in 2023. While at Campbell, I spent my two terminal clinical rotations at an outpatient orthopedic clinic and skilled nursing facility. I had the opportunity to work with patients of all ages who have impairments across multiple body systems. I enjoy helping people achieve their desired level of function–whatever that may be, so they can participate in the activities they love.
Outside of PT, I enjoy early morning runs with my husband, David. We also love exploring the mountains, reading at coffee shops, cooking/baking, participating in church functions, and trying new Mediterranean restaurants.
Summer works as the Office Administrator for Benson Sports Therapy and Wellness. She joined the team in January 2023.
Summer went to Campbell University and graduated in May of 2018 with a degree in Kinesiology. She played NCAA Division I collegiate volleyball for Campbell University. Therefore, she is excited to enter into the field and support Benson Sports Therapy and Wellness.
Formerly she has been working in Human Resources.
Summer was born and raised in Michigan but moved here to go to Campbell. Here are some of the reasons she loves North Carolina: the warmer weather, the hospitality, the mountains, the beach, and her church. She loves to enjoy creation through hiking, biking, and planting flowers. However, sometimes she prefers to stay inside and read with a cup of hot tea.
Gale Turlington is an Office and Billing Manager for Benson Sports Therapy and Wellness. She has worked in healthcare for more than 12 years in various office positions at Raleigh Community Hospital and with Harnett Health. She also served more than 30 years with the North Carolina Department of Revenue in multiple positions retiring as a manager from the Submissions Processing Division in 2018.
Gale is a native from Harnett County and lives in the Coats area with her husband and Son. She enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and son traveling and camping. Most of her free time she spends gardening and working in her yard and greenhouse. She is an avid gardener sharing much of the produce and plants she grows with family, friends, and others.
Daisy worked in the Accounting Department for General Motors Acceptance Corporation in Raleigh for 30 years and retired in 1999. She also worked at Penny Longobardo & Company CPA's in Raleigh for 23 years retiring in October 2021.
Daisy is a native of Johnston County and grew up on a tobacco farm in the McGee's Crossroads community and now lives outside of Benson. She is a 1965 graduate of Clevland High School. Daisy enjoys spending time with her daughter and son and their families and especially her four grandchildren. She is active in her church, serving in the ladies auxiliary, teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir and participating in Bible studies. In her free time, she enjoys reading, visiting shut-ins, shopping and traveling with her sister and girlfriends.
